Flutter’s “Do More” Campaign Achieves Remarkable Charity Milestones

Throughout the year, Flutter has been actively supporting various charities as part of its global commitment to “Do More” for the communities it serves.

This initiative, a key component of Flutter’s Positive Impact Plan, has set an ambitious goal of assisting 10 million people by 2030, focusing on three primary areas: Sport & Play, Health & Wellbeing, and Tech4Good.

In 2023, Flutter’s charitable efforts have gained momentum, with several initiatives launched under its different brands, including Paddy Power, Sky Betting & Gaming (SBG), and Betfair.

Just recently, Paddy Power pledged to donate up to £1.0 million to Prostate Cancer UK as part of its lead sponsorship for the 2023 PDC World Darts Championship.

The brand committed to contribute £1,000 for every 180 scored during the tournament, which kicked off this week.

In a similar vein, Betfair demonstrated its support for the Injured Jockeys Fund and the Irish Injured Jockeys charity by initiating a donation of £100,000, with an additional £5,000 pledged for each victory by ambassador Rachel Blackmore between Betfair Chase Day and the Grand National.

This commitment is expected to result in a substantial donation of around £250,000, furthering Flutter’s dedication to charitable causes.

Furthermore, Sky Bet introduced the “Building Foundations Fund” in partnership with the English Football League (EFL), allocating £6.0 million for community activities.

This fund, representing the largest multi-year sponsor-backed initiative solely focused on community engagement, allows EFL’s 72 clubs to apply for grants of up to £100,000 to enhance their programs or develop new initiatives.

Sky Bet plans to invest £1.0 million annually, starting from the 2023-24 season.

Additionally, Flutter organized charity events that generated an additional £250,000 in funds, which were then equally distributed to two deserving causes: BUMBLEance, the Children’s Ambulance Service of Ireland, and the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund in Yorkshire.

Flutter’s commitment to social responsibility and community impact was underscored by Ian Brown, CEO of Flutter UKI, who expressed pride in the progress achieved by the UK and Ireland division.

He emphasized that Flutter’s market-leading brands have launched impactful campaigns aligned with the values of both customers and colleagues, reiterating their dedication to making a lasting, positive impact and upholding the highest industry standards.
