Bet365 has expanded its presence in the United States, marking its entry into the Indiana market through a partnership with the French Lick Resort, a well-known land-based casino.

This development now makes Indiana the eighth state where Bet365 operates, joining its existing footprint in Kentucky, Louisiana, Virginia, Ohio, New Jersey, Iowa, and Colorado.

The move into Indiana, a state renowned for its sports passion and loyalty, is seen as a strategic step for Bet365.

A spokesperson for Bet365 expressed excitement about this expansion, stating, “At Bet365, we don’t do ordinary, and neither does Indiana, home to the country’s first professional baseball game, ‘The Greatest Spectacle in Racing,’ and a rich basketball history.”

The company aims to provide Indiana residents with a unique sports betting experience, including offerings like Bet Boosts, a fast in-game product, and unique same-game parlays.

Meanwhile, Australian-based BlueBet is also making strides in the US sports betting market.

Its ClutchBet B2C brand has taken its first bets in Louisiana, marking its entry into the third US state.

Prior to this, ClutchBet was already live in Iowa and Colorado. BlueBet’s expansion strategy in the US, referred to as “Capital Lite,” focuses on efficient market entry and growth.

BlueBet CEO Bill Richmond shared his optimism, saying, “Going live in Louisiana caps off another strong 12 months for BlueBet as we execute our ‘Capital Lite’ US market entry.”

He emphasized their commitment to refining and enhancing their approach to deliver faster growth while remaining capital-efficient.

Additionally, BlueBet is preparing for the second stage of its US market entry strategy, which involves launching a white-labeled B2B sportsbook solution.

The company is in discussions with potential B2B partners to offer this solution, further expanding its presence in the US market.

Both Bet365 and BlueBet are entering competitive markets in Indiana and Louisiana. Indiana recently reported record adjusted gross revenue of $50.6 million for December, with Ameristar Casino and DraftKings leading the market.

In Louisiana, the state saw record sports betting handle for the third consecutive month, with players wagering $377.0 million on sports in December.

Nine other operators, including Bet365, offer online sports betting services in Louisiana.

The potential for further growth in these states remains significant, with Indiana considering the legalization of iGaming, a service already offered by Bet365 in other markets.

An updated report estimates that Indiana could generate up to $2.1 billion in iGaming revenue over the first three years after legalization.

With strong market dynamics and increased competition, Bet365 and BlueBet aim to secure their positions in these thriving US sports betting markets.
