Red Bull team principal Christian Horner’s future at the team is likely to come to an end prior to the 2024 F1 season kicking off, according to bookmakers’ odds.
An analysis of bookmakers’ odds by My Betting Edge has found that the average odds for Horner to be fired are 4/11, meaning that bookmakers believe there is a 73.3% chance that the Red Bull team principal will lose his job in the coming weeks.
Horner’s future at the team has been thrown into doubt following Red Bull launching an investigation into “inappropriate” conduct by the Briton following a complaint lodged by a female employee.
The nature of Horner’s “inappropriate” conduct is unclear at this juncture, but it has been speculated that he could well be fired, depending on what the external investigation determines.
Horner, for his part, has not issued a statement on the accusations nor the ongoing investigation, while Red Bull have shared only a handful of details as they await the investigation’s findings.
Horner’s departure would be a major blow to Red Bull ahead of the 2024 F1 season, but regardless of his fate, Max Verstappen will enter the new campaign as the favourite to win the championship once again.
