Better Collective has announced its revenue for the year ended 31 December 2023, estimating it to be approximately €327m (£279m/$353m).
The group had initially forecasted revenue to fall within the range of €315m to €325m for the entire year.
Moreover, Better Collective anticipates its EBITDA for 2023 to reach €111m, which aligns with the upper end of its targeted range of €105m to €115m.
Despite having already revised its guidance twice, Better Collective managed to exceed its full-year revenue expectations.
Originally, the group projected revenue to be between €290m and €300m for the year.
However, buoyed by robust operational performance and beneficial acquisitions, Better Collective raised its revenue guidance to €305m to €315m, and subsequently to €315m to €325m in June.
In terms of EBITDA guidance, the initial range was €90m to €100m, which was later adjusted to €95m to €105m, and eventually settled at €105m to €115m.
Throughout 2023, Better Collective was actively engaged in mergers and acquisitions.
Significant deals included the acquisition of advertising company Skycon Limited in April, for an amount of up to £45m.
Additionally, the group acquired Denmark-focused Tipsbladet.dk and Brazilian sports media platform Torcedores.com.
It also added several Swedish brands to its portfolio, namely SvenskaFans.com, HockeySverige.se, Fotbolldirekt.se, and InnebandyMagazinet.se.
Furthermore, in July 2023, Better Collective completed the acquisition of Playmaker HQ for $54m, a company known for producing original entertainment and sports content.
This week, the group finalised its acquisition of Toronto-based digital sports media business, Playmaker Capital, valued at €176m, following a deal struck in November.
Better Collective is scheduled to release its Q4 and full-year report on 21 February.
