In a recent LinkedIn announcement, Anders Jaldung disclosed his forthcoming role as the CEO of Grand Casino Brussels, set to commence on December 11th.
Grand Casino Brussels, a sizable gaming complex situated in Belgium’s capital, falls under the ownership of Casinos Austria International.
This development marks Jaldung’s return to the casino industry, following his departure from Casino Cosmopol, the Swedish land-based casino brand operated by Svenska Spel, just over a year ago.
Jaldung had an illustrious tenure at Casino Cosmopol, serving as its top executive for 14 and a half years, with a total of nearly 21 years of service within the organization.
Before venturing into the casino industry, Jaldung had a notable career in law enforcement, encompassing over nine years at Sweden’s National Criminal Investigation Department.
Expressing his enthusiasm for rejoining the casino world, Jaldung stated, “I am really looking forward to getting back into the casino world.
“I have missed it and I can’t wait to get on board with the experienced team at Viage.”

Jaldung’s influence extended beyond individual casinos, as he served as the chairman of the European Casino Association from February 2015 until February 2023, and he continues to hold the prestigious position of honorary president within the organization since his tenure as chair concluded earlier this year.
His successor, Erwin van Lambaart, was unanimously appointed as the new chairman of the European Casino Association.
In a separate turn of events, Svenska Spel, the parent company of Casino Cosmopol, announced the impending departure of its CEO, Patrik Hofbauer.
Hofbauer, who has overseen operations at Svenska Spel for nearly five years since joining the organization in December 2018, is set to step down from his role as president and CEO early next year.
He will transition to a new role as the president and CEO of Swedish telecommunications company Telia Company, marking a significant shift in his career path.
